Me and a friend (Jess) went to the TX coast this week. We spent three nights hunting various Galveston beaches. Nothing spectacular for me but plenty of targets to make it fun. I used my Whites Surfmaster PI on this trip and found the usual handful of clad coins, toys and junk jewelry. Notable finds were the silver frog ring marked .925, India 1 Rupee coin, Fiji 1 cent, rabies tag and one of the pennies was a wheat cent. Jess made the big find with a 10k gold Texas A&M University ring that we were able to return. The owner was beyond thrilled to get it back. Not only were we super lucky to find him before we left Galveston but he happened to live in Houston which was on our way home. We met him off of I-45 for the return. He told us the ring had been lost the previous summer. Lots of smiles and handshakes and we headed back to Fort Worth. Pics below…
